Our History
Go Run Foundation was born with the purpose of transforming lives through sport and community. Since its creation in 2016 by Douglas Nicaragua, the foundation has focused on providing opportunities to children from vulnerable communities in Latin America, ensuring that they have access to running training, competitions, and activities that promote care for the environment.
The beach clean-up days in Bocachica, Cartagena, are an example of the social and environmental impact promoted by the foundation. These events not only seek to improve the environment, but also raise funds to cover the costs of transportation, training, and 5k races for children. Through these experiences, young people learn essential values such as responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of contributing to a more sustainable future.
In addition, the foundation has developed educational initiatives for children to learn English, providing them with tools that expand their opportunities for personal and professional development.
Each 5k race organized by Go Run Foundation has a clear objective: to raise funds to support these children and offer them opportunities for growth. Monetary donations, sports equipment, and sponsorships ensure that children have the resources they need to achieve their goals.
Joining these 5k races is more than just running: it is an act of solidarity that allows children to dream of a better future. With the efforts of volunteers, sponsors, and runners, the foundation builds a community where every step counts to transform lives and care for the environment.
At Go Run Foundation, running is synonymous with hope. Through sports and education, children find motivation, belonging, and opportunities to achieve their dreams. Your support is essential to continue making this difference and leaving a positive mark on the world.
Thank you for being part of this mission and for running towards a brighter future for all!
